I’ve read a lot of good books this year, but this may be my favorite. This is how you do unlikable, self-absorbed characters right. In spite of the fact that I was occasionally so frustrated with them that I was tempted to throw the book in front of a moving train, I found myself understanding them, caring about them, and as much as I hate to admit it, seeing myself in them.
